About Serengeti

The Serengeti in northern Tanzania holds the world's largest lion population and hosts the great migration — over a million wildebeest moving in an annual circle — making it the heartland of African wildlife.

It was here that George Schaller's landmark 1960s–70s studies decoded lion pride society: female philopatry, male coalitions and takeover infanticide.
